With all of the recent technological advancements in the field of dentistry, you shouldn't have to settle for anything less than the most comfortable and efficient dental care possible. We employ state-of-the-art equipment in every aspect of our practice, from our sophisticated diagnostic processes to our conservative treatment techniques.
Did you know that most of the discomfort you feel during a dental procedure is the initial numbing shot? That pain is history with the DentalVibe®, a handheld device that uses ultrasonic vibrations to block the sensation of anesthetic injections. It doesn’t even look like a needle, which is often a big relief for anxious patients.
Tired of long dental visits and the aching jaw that comes with them? The revolutionary Isolite™ system will completely change the way you think about going to the dentist! Isolite’s soft, flexible mouthpiece lets you rest your jaw during treatment, and it also illuminates your mouth from the inside so we can work more efficiently.
Laser dentistry not only eliminates the need for scalpels and sutures—it also minimizes pain and speeds the healing process! We use our minimally-invasive soft tissue laser in a variety of applications, from deep cleanings and gum surgery to cosmetic gum reshaping.
Digital X-rays emit less radiation than conventional X-rays and use smooth digital sensors instead of sharp X-ray film. Because digital X-rays don’t require lengthy chemical processing, the images are available on our computer screen within seconds.
Like digital X-rays, digital photographs taken with our intraoral cameras are a useful diagnostic and education tool. These cameras show you what we see during your exam and help us guide you through your diagnosis and treatment options. They also enable us to diagnose issues we might not have been able to see without the up-close view.
Dental experiences during childhood can greatly influence the way a child feels about dental visits for the rest of his or her life. As a parent himself, Dr. Adey knows that regardless of how important dental visits are, they can still be very intimidating for kids. He takes the time to explain every procedure using kid-friendly vocabulary, and he even lets kids touch some of the dental instruments to help them feel more in control of their surroundings.
Kids have unique needs for treatment and communication, and we always treat our younger patients with extra sensitivity and care. We’ve even added some kid-friendly details to make our office feel more like home:
We surpass ADA and OSHA recommended standards to make our Kennett Square dental office a clean and safe place for your family. Before your visit, we thoroughly sanitize each treatment room and disinfect every piece of equipment using state-of-the-art sterilization technology. We also perform routine spore testing through an independent third-party laboratory to ensure that all of our sterilization equipment is working properly.
